Checked baggage
Domestic flights
•Economy Class – baggage not exceeding 20 kg (44 lb) per adult and 10 kg (22 lb) per infant.
•Business Class – baggage not exceeding 30 kg(66 lb) per adult and 10 kg (22 lb) per infant.
International flights
The baggage allowance for international flights varies according to where in the world you’re flying.
•Economy & Comfort Class – standard baggage not exceeding 20 kg, although for some destinations this is increased to no more than 30 kg.
•Business Class – standard baggage not exceeding 30 kg, although in some instances this is increased to no more than 40 kg.
•Some destinations in North and South America, as well as Africa, incur additional free baggage allowances.  Visit the Turkish Airlines website for details. 
Please note
•Infants (0 – 2) are allowed 10 kg plus a collapsible baby carriage or buggy
•There is no limit to the number of pieces of luggage when flying onboard Turkish Airlines.
•The free baggage allowance of the most significant carrier during your journey will apply.
Hand luggage
•Economy Class – two pieces of luggage not exceeding 8 kg (18 lb) and 55 x 40 x 23 cm (22 x 16 x 9 in) each.
•Economy & Comfort Class – one piece of luggage not exceeding 8 kg (18 lb) and 55 x 40 x 23 cm (22 x 16 x 9 in) each. This allowance also applies to infants (0 – 2).
Special baggage
•Some sports equipment, such as the first set of golf clubs and skiing equipment is carried free of charge. Additional charges do apply for other sports equipment. 
•Musical instruments exceeding cabin luggage limits may be taken onto the plan only if an additional seat is purchased. They may not exceed 75 kg and the dimensions must be appropriate to the seat.

Transporting liquids
International security regulations have placed restrictions on the quantity of liquid, aerosols and gels (LAGs) that passengers are allowed in their hand luggage when travelling overseas. The packaging and transportation requirements are as follows:
•LAGs must be stored in 100 ml containers and then packed in a 20 cm x 20 cm transparent, re-sealable plastic bag.
•One bag is allowed per passenger and must be shown at airport security.
•Medication, baby products and special dietary products are exempt, as are some duty free purchases.
Domestic check in 
Arrive at the airport 1 hour before departure
International check in 
Arrive at the airport 2 hours before departure. 
Online check in
•Online check in opens up to 24 hours and closes 90 minutes prior to departure. Visit the Turkish Airlines website and click on the ‘Check in’ tab. 
•On arrival at the airport, passengers should make their way to a baggage drop off point to check in their luggage. These desks close 60 minutes prior to international and 45 minutes prior to domestic flights.
•This service is not available for flights shared with other airlines.
Self Check-In Kiosks
•This service can be used by electronic ticket passengers only.
•The simple, touch screen devices are found at the airport and will print your boarding pass after you have followed the steps to check in

The Planet digital system is widespread across international flights and includes the latest movie releases, children’s entertainment as well as TV series, music and radio channels, among others. Passengers can even watch take-off and landing on two cameras mounted on the front and rear of the plane.
