Etihad Airways
In the more than 10 years since Etihad Airways was formed by Royal Decree, it has become one of the fastest growing airlines in history with no signs of slowing. The official airline of the UAE has served its country well by winning a number of prestigious awards, including being named the World Travel Awards Leading Airline five years in a row. In Arabic, Etihad means ‘union’, a fitting name for an airline that brings passengers from 75 destinations around the world together in Abu Dhabi where Arabic hospitality can be experienced and enjoyed.

Transporting liquids
For flights leaving or arriving in Australia, security regulations have placed restrictions on the quantity of liquid, aerosols and gels (LAGs) that passengers are allowed in their hand luggage.
The packaging and transportation requirements are as follows:
LAGs must be stored in 100 ml containers and then packed in a 20 cm x 20 cm transparent, re-sealable plastic bag.
One bag is allowed per passenger and must be shown at airport security.
Medication, baby products and special dietary products are exempt, as are some duty free purchases.
Stop in at one of Etihad Airways’ city check in facilities from 24 hours before your flight and avoid the hassle of queuing at the airport. These facilities can be found in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Unfortunately, this service is currently not available for US-bound travellers.
Check in online between 24 and 2 hours before your Etihad Airways-operated flight. Visit the Etihad Airways website, enter your booking reference or guest number, select your seat, check yourself in and then print your boarding pass. On arrival at the airport, make your way to the bag drop counter and present your pass. Don’t forget to allow enough time to get through security.
During Etihad Airways’ flights, E-Box has a wide offering for passenegers to choose from. Take your pick from the latest blockbusters and classic movies out of Hollywood, as well as European, Arabic and Asian cinema; or feel like a kid again with interactive games and children’s entertainment. All this as well as live news and sports channels; TV series; radio and a library of music to keep you amused.
Set out on the right foot with a visit to one of Etihad Airways’ many departure lounges. Found at all the airline’s destinations and available to Diamond First and Pearl Business Guests, the lounges offer spa treatments to help you unwind, a cocktail bar and even a Snooze Room to ensure you’re rested and ready to begin your journey.
